빼도 박도 못하다  in a bind

This house looks half-finished. What's the story, anyway?

Well, apparently the owner got in a bind because he went
bankrupt halfway through the project and couldn't finish it.

However, it is an elaborate way of greeting someone.

People don't bow this way all the time, right?

Right, that would be difficult.

Experts assure job candidates and their parents that parental interference is not only completely inappropriate; it can also make applicants look lazy and incapable.

Many parents are worried about the futures of their children during the poor economy. However, some parents want to help out their children so desperately that they have been calling job recruiters, filling out and submitting application forms for their kids. Some parents even go as far as to negotiating or re-bargaining their child's salary once they are offered a position. These parents may feel that they are looking out for their child's best interests, but in truth they ⑤ ____ ________ ______ _______ ________ in the eyes of the employers.

"From application procedure to the salary negotiation, "helicopter parents" want to know anything and everything," said Ki Eun-joo, a headhunter in Seoul. "Some insist that they come and meet me in person."

According to a recent survey of more than 500 job seekers, 38 percent of unemployed people in their 20's have asked for their parent's help in navigating through the job market. In fact 14 percent say they even have their parents fill out their application forms for them.

"Some things are just not acceptable," said Moon Ji-young from the online recruiting service "Career." "And having mommy and daddy write the job application and bringing them to interviews isn't going to impress anyone - especially the employer."
